Christian Atsu Twasam is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for the Ghana national team as well as Hatayspor of the Turkish Super Lig. He is best known for playing as a winger, but he has also been used as an attacking midfielder on numerous occasions.
On 6 February 2023, Atsu was reported missing in the immediate aftermath of the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquake. He was confirmed to be among those trapped under the rubble of Hatayspor’s headquarters in Antakya following the quake. Reports from his club and the Ghana FA stated that he was rescued from the rubble and transferred to the hospital with unconfirmed injuries.
