Black Sherif’s father has spoken about his son’s rise in music despite childhood dream of ending up a doctor.

Father of Black Sherif, Mr Kwabena Frimpong has spoken about how his son ended up as a musician despite childhood dream of becoming a doctor.

Speaking from his base in Europe he talked about how surprise he is to see his son become a successful musician.

According to Mr Kwabena Frimpong, he thought his son would end up a doctor because of his academic brilliance but when he ventured into music, he still supported him.

The father said after Black Sherif was born in January 2002, he left Ghana to Europe in 2004 but he still played a father role in his upbringing.

He talked about how he purchased a desktop computer for him and bought internet packages so they communicate frequently via Skype.

Mr Kwabena Frimpong disclosed that he is very proud of what his son is achieving and urged parents to allow their children to harness their talents instead of imposing their wills on them.
