Eugene Kwame Marfo (born 1 February 1997), and also known professionally as Kuami Eugene is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter who hails from Akim Oda in the Eastern region of Ghana. He is currently signed to Lynx Entertainment, a record label in Ghana. Kuami is known for several songs, including “Angela”, “Wish Me Well”, “Ohemaa” and many others.  He has received the Most Promising Artist in Africa award from AFRIMA and also won the Artist of the Year and High-life Artist of the Year at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.

Kuami Eugene Early life

Kuami Eugene was born  February 1, 1997 in Akim Oda in the Eastern region of Ghana. He was born to Alex Marfo, his father and Juliana Marfo, his mother. Helived most of his childhood life in Akim Oda and later moved to Fadama in the greater region of Ghana with his parents. His love of music inspired him to begin singing in church at a young age, where he also learned to play the drums, keyboard, and guitar.

He had his senior high school education at Salvation Army Senior High school located at Akim-Wenchi. He later furthered his education to the tertiary level at the Ghana Telecom University.

  • Kuami Eugene was a participant in Ghana’s MTN Hitmaker season 5 in 2016, where he finished third place.
    He was signed to Lynx Entertainment shortly after and has since released several songs.
