Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings is a Ghanaian politician and medical doctor. She was born on June 1, 1978, in Accra, Ghana, to Jerry John Rawlings, former President of Ghana, and his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

Zanetor Rawlings attended Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast, Ghana, before traveling to the United Kingdom to pursue her tertiary education. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of London and a Medical Degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

After completing her medical training, Zanetor Rawlings worked in several hospitals in Ghana and abroad, including the 37 Military Hospital in Accra and the Princess Margaret Hospital in Swaziland.

In 2015, Zanetor Rawlings entered Ghanaian politics and won the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primary elections for the Klottey Korle constituency in Accra. Aside from working in General Practice as a Doctor, she recently picked up a career in politics as she contested in the primaries of the party founded by her father, NDC, in a bid to become a legislator for the Klottey Korle constituency. Her father, the former president, has since endorsed his daughter’s decision.[5] She won the November 10, 2015 primaries for Korley Klottey and went ahead to win the seat in the December 7, 2016 elections.[citation needed] She is currently an MP for the Klottey Korle Constituency.

Zanetor (pronounced Zɑ-nɛ-tɔ) Agyeman-Rawlings (Dr.) (born June 1,1978) is the eldest daughter of the 1st President under the 4th Republic of Ghana Jerry Rawlings (1993–2001) and former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman (1993–2001).

Agyeman-Rawlings was born on 1 June 1978 in Accra, Ghana in West Africa. She hails from Dzelukope in the Volta Region of Ghana. She attended the North Ridge Lyceum school and Achimota school for her basic education. She then graduated from the Wesley Girls High School in Cape Coast in 1996. With her father being on the political platform, little Zanetor spent most of her time with her mother, the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings. Zanetor attended the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland for her medical degree. She also has certificates in defense management and conflict and crisis management from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.
